Pi Square is a contemporary painter whose work explores the relationship between mathematical structure, color and human perception.

Her paintings investigate how order, rhythm and proportion can be transformed into visual intensity and emotional resonance. While the works are constructed through disciplined structural systems, their purpose extends beyond formal composition. Pi Square is interested in the moment when mathematical clarity begins to affect the viewer’s psychological and emotional perception.

Rather than relying on spontaneous gesture, the artist develops visual systems in which geometry functions as a framework for perceptual experience. Within these structures, color relationships and rhythmic patterns create optical movement, spatial vibration and a distinctive energetic presence.

For Pi Square, painting is a way of transforming mathematical order into a living perceptual experience.

Pi Square approaches painting through a rigorous process of visual construction. Each work is developed through carefully designed structures based on proportion, rhythm and precisely calibrated color relationships.

Geometry functions here not as decoration but as a structural language that organizes visual energy across the surface of the painting. Through repetition, interval and chromatic tension, the compositions generate shifting perceptual fields that evolve as the viewer engages with the work.

This disciplined approach gives the paintings an almost architectural character. The surface becomes a structured environment where rhythm, color and spatial relationships interact to create movement and visual intensity.

A central question in Pi Square’s practice concerns the moment when structured visual order begins to affect human perception.

Her paintings explore how carefully designed systems of color and proportion can generate movement, vibration and spatial depth within a flat surface. As the viewer moves, subtle changes in color relationships and rhythmic structures activate the painting.

Beyond their visual complexity, the works aim to produce a particular emotional atmosphere. Pi Square is interested in creating paintings that generate energy, focus and perceptual clarity rather than tension or darkness.

In this way, the paintings function simultaneously as precise visual systems and as environments capable of influencing the viewer’s emotional state.

Each painting begins with an extensive design phase involving sketches, proportional studies and analysis of color relationships.

During this stage, structural relationships within the composition are carefully tested and refined. Only once the visual system has been resolved does the final composition emerge on canvas.

This method allows the paintings to operate as coherent visual structures in which rhythm, geometry and color function together to create a unified perceptual field.

Selected presentations include Pi Square: Wolność w abstrakcji at Artinfo Gallery in Warsaw and Op-Art Vibrations presented during the Night of Museums programme at Artinfo Gallery.

The artist’s work has also been presented multiple times at LA Art Show in Los Angeles, where Pi Square was represented by Daphne Alazraki Fine Art, New York.

Pi Square has additionally participated in several editions of Warsaw Art Fair. Works have also been exhibited in Warsaw through collaborations with galleries including Wallspace Gallery.

Paintings by Pi Square are held in private collections in Europe and North America.

Pi Square received formal artistic training at the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Kielce and later continued artistic studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. Early training in sculpture continues to inform the structural approach visible in the paintings, where composition is treated as an architectural system rather than a purely pictorial surface.
